Ibrahim is a Chartered Professional Civil & Environmental Engineer and Certified Lead Environmental & WHS Auditor with over 23 years of experience in leading environmental & sustainability functions and teams on a wide range of high-profile transport infrastructure, property / SMART-city developments, commercial transaction, asset management, utilities, and public administration projects.

 

Ibrahim has worked as a trusted adviser to numerous regulatory authorities, government agencies, ministers, developers and investment banks across a wide range of portfolios, in Australia and internationally, to put in place innovative and globally recognized environmental & sustainability initiatives; regulatory & policy frameworks; strategic business plans; governance structures, capability building, compliance programs, management systems and industry engagement initiatives. 

 

Examples of projects in which Ibrahim has played a lead role include:

  • Management of planning / environmental approvals, CEMP/OEMP, and NSW Government Agency consultations for the Sydney Intermodal development / 'Moorebank Logistics Park' for Tactical Group and their client Qube Logistics.
  • Strategic Environmental Management & Compliance Framework for Property NSW across their wide range of owned or leased assets worth over $120 billion, including governance structure, business processes, policies, risk-based technical & legal procedures, and program for managing contaminated sites.
  • Establishment and management of an Environmental Services Group (ESG) for Property NSW providing whole-of-government environmental & sustainability services to more than 10 NSW Government Agencies including on Westconnex, Baranagaroo and Bays Precinct.
  • Oversight of NSW Port Lessor Corporations' environmental obligations under the Port Leases for Port Botany, Kembla and Newcastle, including review and approval of Port Lessee Environmental Management Plans & Annual Environmental Reports, oversight of contaminated land management issues & remediation, oversight of incidents, and high-level liaison and negotiation with the EPA, DPE and Port Lessees. 
  • Environmental & WHS Management Framework and Certified System for the Abu Dhabi transport sector including maritime, aviation and surface transport (metro, rail, ports, airports, and buses);
  • World-acclaimed green hotels program, green hotel building design guidelines, and green hotel baseline and bench-marking scheme for all hotels in Abu Dhabi Emirate;
  • Environmental Project Direction on Dubai Metro; and
  • World leading high-tech satellite program for monitoring compliance against natural resource, environmental and planning legislation in NSW.
